Question: Is it possible to use AUTEL MaxiSYS MS906BT for key programming and pin code reading?
The answer is Yes, definitely. Autel MaxiSys MS906BT can program keys and RKE fobs on certain vehicles. Pin codes however must be obtained from a dealer or locksmith as they are highly protected by manufacturers for obvious reasons. I was able to get the pin code for a vehicle I own but if it is a customer’s vehicle they may not give you the code, only perform the work and charge you.
Generally speaking, it depends on manufacturer.
How depends?
If OE does it by activating or coding, then Autel probably will do it.
If OE requires programming then a J2534 device must be used and an LSID may be needed.
If OE requires PIN and if you have the pin, then Autel might do it. The Autel does not pull PINs, in some cases you can bypass the PIN requirement.
